An 87m² Parisian apartment on the second floor of an 18th-century edifice nestled between the famous squares Place Vendôme and Place du Marché-Saint-Honoré. The edifice was built in 1707 for France’s tax collection officer Pierre Boutin. Louis XIV style balcony balustrades of finely crafted wrought iron punctuate its facade. For this reason, the building is listed as a historical monument. Some of its windows are rectangular and others are arched. Its facade of dressed stone was recently restored, as was its roofing. A carriage door, fitted with an entry code system for security, leads into a paved passageway that takes you to a large inner court with openings adorned with mascarons. From here, several staircases lead upstairs. A wooden staircase that has been remarkably well maintained leads up to the second floor where the apartment lies. The door that takes you to this staircase is fitted with a second entry code system for extra security.
The apartment’s entrance door leads into a hallway. On the right, there is a kitchen and dining area with glossy white furniture units, black marble and stainless-steel fittings. Two tall court-facing windows fill the room with natural light. From this room, a double door leads to a dual-aspect lounge that looks out at the court on one side and at the street on the other. It offers a floor area of more than 25m². Versailles parquet adorns its floor. A Louis XV style fireplace of finely sculpted wood stands beneath a trumeau mirror in the same style. They give this reception room a noble character.
The bedrooms lie on either side of the lounge. The first one offers a floor area of around 14m². It has a court-facing window and many built-in wardrobes. The second bedroom offers a floor area of around 18m². Two street-facing windows brighten it up. A shower room bathed in natural light completes the apartment. It is adorned with a walk-in shower and with beautiful facing that has an appearance of natural stone.
Oak chevron parquet extends across most of the floors. Plain cornices underline the ceilings. Much natural light is brought into the apartment through 11 tall rectangular windows fitted with indoor shutters. Some of these windows are capped with glazed fanlights. The radiators are made of cast iron.
The property includes a cellar in the basement.
