The estate is also located a short distance to some of the most renowned vineyards worldwide: for instance, Montalcino, famous for its Brunello vineyards, is just 15 minutes away. In addition, Siena, the hilltop towns of Pienza and San Quirico d'Orcia, and the thermal baths at Bagno di Vignone are all accessible within 30 minutes.
The villa was commissioned by the illustrious Chigi family and was designed by the renowned Sienese architect Baldassare Tommaso Peruzzi (1481 - 1536). Over the centuries it has been extended and restored. With the combination of the best of Italian craftsmanship with luxurious and timeless furnishings and original artworks collected across the world, the villa represents a distinguished home away from home in undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions of the world.
The villa can accommodate up to 14 guests. It is ideal for families or groups of friends with its beautiful and individually decorated 6 bedrooms all well-equipped for winter and summer with air conditioning and under-floor heating (not to mention the ideal climate in Val d'Orcia). The villa has been designed with entertaining in mind, while at the same time creating a space for quiet, peace and privacy. The studio is stocked with reading materials and laptop for the guests. The villa also boasts a beautiful wine cellar stocked with an array of some of the most renowned wines from the region.
This historic estate offers the best that Tuscany can offer: history, culture, art, luxury, and nature. It is an unforgettable experience, enjoying a glass of wine while watching the sunset from the edge of the infinity pool in this paradisiac countryside.
